Customs clearance in the UK
Imports into the UK
The transitional period ended on 1 January 2022, and goods arriving in the UK must now be cleared upon entry. For this reason, it is essential that the customs clearance of goods be prepared before entering the UK.
If the consignee or buyer does not have their own customs agent, we are ready to entrust the clearance to our contractual partner.
We also accept a scenario where the consignee entrusts the clearance to their own customs agent or another buyer (depending on the Incoterms delivery terms), however, we prefer to take care of the communication on our own.
With regard to the specifics of the collection service, the consignee/buyer should be aware that a potential problem during customs clearance (most often missing documents or insufficient financial coverage for VAT or customs duty) for one consignment may jeopardise the customs clearance and delivery of all other consignments on the vehicle.
Exports from the UK
Delivery of the invoice(s) with all the essentials will do.
We will arrange with our customs agent both domestic customs clearance and T1 issuance up to the customs clearance point.
We accept a scenario where customs documents are issued by other agents (the invoice(s), national clearance, LRN or T1 with MRN must be provided).
